Barrel-Aged Dessert Wine
Bautista is a barrel-finished dessert wine crafted from native, estate-grown Peruvian grapes and matured in single-use American oak whiskey casks. The result is a naturally sweet, full-bodied expression layered with caramelized fruit, roasted toffee, and warming spice—a contemplative yet indulgent finish meant to be savored slowly.
Fortified with Quebranta Pisco, the wine balances richness with structure, allowing fruit, oak, and spirit to speak with restraint rather than excess.

A Baroque Reflection
This striking Baroque imagery of ultimate sacrifice & contemplation sets the philosophical backdrop for an intensely sweet and pleasurable dessert wine. Inspired by John the Baptist—a figure of restraint set against excess—the Baroque imagery invites reflection, a tension between discipline and indulgence, tradition and temptation, honoring the legacy of San Juan Bautista through this unique, limited release.

The Posture of Decrease
By kneeling into the dust, John physically performs his final decree: "He must increase, but I must decrease." He lowers himself into the earth so the viewer is forced to look past him and toward the horizon of the New Covenant.
3
The Shadow of the Law
Using intense Baroque chiaroscuro, the Prophet’s muscular form is caught between light and dark. His back remains in the shadows of the old world, while his face is illuminated by the dawning light of the Messiah.
1
The Hand of the New Adam
A deliberate inverse of the Creation of Adam. John reaches down for a final touch of the river Jordan. A symbolic gesture and final tribute to being reborn into Christ.
4
The Lamb: The Living Shadow
The lamb stands in the background as the "True Prophet." While John is a massive, physical presence nearing his end, the Lamb is the silent, eternal reality that will replace him—standing exactly where the light breaks through the horizon.
2
The Receding River Jorden
The parched riverbed signals the "sunset" of the prophetic age. The ritual water of the Jordan is drying up because the true Source of Life has already arrived, shifting the mission from water to the Spirit.
